Mackay & Sposito, Inc. to host SUSTAINABLE FROM THE GROUND UP.
MacKay & Sposito, Inc. teams up with Clark Public Utilities, NW Natural, Energy Star, and Earth Advantage to bring you the first of two educational seminars. We will explore what it means to create an economical, sustainable and healthy development that will not only benefit your consumers but you as a builder as well. Building a sustainable, energy-efficient home doesn’t start at the walls but rather works as a system from the moment you choose your site to the instant your homeowner steps in the door. In this first session you will hear from companies that can assist you in developing your site, the subsequent infrastructure to save you money and to create a sustainable design, as well as how to put them into practice and see exceptional results. Join us for an event that will teach you about the latest tools and techniques in the industry and have you walk away seeing green.
Topics:
• Learn how sustainable development policy is changing and what it means to you and your company.
• See the benefits of a well-designed balance of nature and development density through a sustainable development case study.
• Understand how to market green homes and business, statistics on what consumers want and what they are buying.
• Preview energy efficient products, homes and programs. Learn how the utilities support green building and sustainable practices.
• Hear a testimonial speaker, Bill Maris, Jr. with transform, llc, share his success story on how he was first introduced to the green building industry at a conference like this one.
• Be motivated by Eryn Kelleher from ACE Communities who will speak about the emerging philosphy of moving beyond “green” to a sustainable systems approach and how they incorporate sustainable design into their affordable communities.
A fee of $25 will be charged per person, all proceeds will be donated to ACE Communities.
