In 2009, Camas School District (CSD) was experiencing several locations of poor drainage or high erosion at Skyridge Middle School. MacKay Sposito visited the school, assessed each location, and developed individual solutions for each area of concern. The track area had three distinct locations where water was ponding; rendering lanes 1, 2, and 3 unusable. It was determined that the locations needed to be stripped and graded to drain to a nearby catch basin. Additionally, an underdrain was constructed to supplement the existing catch basins.

MacKay Sposito determined that the wrestling building had an incomplete roof downspout system. Due to its location, runoff from the sloped area and nearby driveway sheet flowed to the side of the building and settled at the footings. MacKay Sposito designed a combination roof drain and french drain system to collect both the roof and surface runoff and convey the resulting flow to a nearby catch basin. A retaining wall was designed to address the elevation difference between the wrestling building and the driveway at a pinch point.
 
The third major area of concern was the stairway to the football field and track and the adjacent driveway. The existing trench drain was completely clogged, there was severe erosion, and the culvert at the base of the stairway was completely plugged. MacKay Sposito designed a new drainage system to convey flow down the sides of the stairway using the existing trench drain and adding two new area drains. A riprap ditch was added to the north side of the driveway with an ditch inlet which conveyed the flow to an existing storm sewer system in the driveway.
