To improve public recreational access to the Priest Rapids Reservoir and provide wildlife viewing opportunities, this new paved shoreline trail was designed and built on the edge of the reservoir.

The project included the alignment and design of the trail, the development of two (2) new trail heads with parking, gravel and asphalt connector trails, interpretive signage, vault toilets, garbage receptacles, and viewing benches.

MacKay Sposito performed topographic and boundary surveys, developed conceptual designs and cost estimates, coordinated a full range of sciences for permitting (natural resources, geotechnical, cultural, etc.), developed a permitting packet, prepared a mitigation plan, and completed full design of the civil and landscape architecture components. We also assisted the PUD during construction by providing construction management and inspection services.
