Project Summary

Client: Grant County Public Utility District
Location: Grant County, WA
Service Provided: Construction Inspection

To accommodate future expansion of energy generation at the Priest Rapids Dam, Grant County PUD constructed a new 18,000 sf building to house the future turbine and generator.

The building was constructed using tilt-up concrete wall construction and was attached to the existing dam powerhouse. Other improvements included a large turbine and generator maintenance and construction bay, new office space, new utilities (sewer, water, and storm sewer), a fire sprinkler system, HVAC installation and balancing, and an asphalt parking area.

MacKay Sposito provided construction inspection services for this project. Our team prepared daily reports, coordinated special inspections and materials testing, and verified certifications for workers and equipment.
