Reed’s Crossing is a 464-acre fully planned, mixed-use community. MacKay Sposito has worked with Newland Communities, the City of Hillsboro, Washington County, and METRO to bring this property into the metro Urban Growth Boundary. For over 15 years, MacKay Sposito has been providing permitting and master planning services for this project.

In August 2016, Newland Communities broke ground for this project and selected MacKay Sposito to provide onsite construction management and inspection beginning with the grading of 127 acres of the 464-acre development. The site includes a large-scale stormwater system with massive storm water ponds, interconnecting pipe work, wet-weather access roads and BMP’s, and stormwater treatment systems. MacKay Sposito’s responsibilities included verifying and documenting the contractor’s daily activities, acting as Owner’s on-site representative, and liaison for City of Hillsboro permit compliance. In addition, we monitor all erosion and sediment control BMP’s on the site and documents its performance measures per the 1200-C permit.
