Our History

Donald MacKay President 1974-1985	Richard Sposito President 1986-2002	Al Schauer President / CEO 2002- present

Founded in 1974, with the acquisition of a branch office of MacKay & Somps, Richard Sposito joined partner Donald MacKay to form MacKay & Sposito, Inc. These founders developed the firm’s commitment to our core values and now, over 30 years later that commitment remains steadfast. We believe the key to our success has been “doing the right thing.” We believe this philosophy has served us well in the past and continues to do so.

Today, both Don MacKay and Dick Sposito have since retired and senior partner Al Schauer is the firm’s President. Al is joined by six additional partners and leads a well respected and talented firm with over 85 employees and offices in Vancouver and Tri-Cities, WA, Wilsonville, OR, and a project office in Sherwood, OR.
