Project Description
The Quarry at Columbia Tech Center is a 285-unit senior living community with Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care wings, and 12 duplex units. The 9-acre site features numerous amenities, including a pool, spa, pedestrian plazas, and pet walking areas, with 3.9 acres dedicated to open space. Parking is provided via 151 surface spaces and a 79-space underground garage.
MacKay Sposito provided civil engineering design, land use planning, and permitting for the project. The team managed complex grading and coordination challenges due to ongoing site development and unbuilt frontage roads. A Road Modification allowed improved emergency access, and the project was approved in just 90 days through the City of Vancouver’s Expedited Streamline Site Plan Review process, with additional approval from Columbia Tech Center’s Architectural Review Committee.
