Project Highlights:

  • Brand new building from ground up
  • Required large underground cable vault with rolling garage door access. The forming of the cast-in-place cable vault was complex requiring more than 60 conduit entrances.
  • Material delays posed a challenge which the team was able to overcome by rescheduling the work to maintain the completion date.

Project Summary

Client: Mason, Bruce & Girard
Location: Portland, OR
Services Provided: Civil Engineering

This project is part one of a potential two-phase project. The client is experiencing flooding at a large transmission substation and smaller distribution substation. As a part of phase one, MacKay Sposito is addressing the existing conditions and how stormwater runoff is conveyed during specified storm events, particularly water depth. MacKay Sposito is preparing a memorandum summarizing the existing site conditions and conditions during each of the specified storm events. If phase two is implemented, MacKay Sposito will conduct an alternatives analysis with recommendations to eliminate flooding on the substation properties.
