As part of their FERC license renewal, Grant County PUD initiated improvements to the exiting Huntzinger Recreation Facility on the Priest Rapids Reservoir.

The project included the design of an ADA compliant launch float, boat launch ramp, and parking area (including boat queuing, tie-down area, passenger parking, vault toilet, and signage). Riparian mitigation plantings were also required.

To complete the design work, MacKay Sposito performed upland and bathymetric surveys, developed conceptual designs and cost estimates, coordinated the geotechnical evaluation, and worked with the PUD to prepare environmental permitting documents including an alternatives analysis, mitigation narrative, JARPA application, and JARPA drawings. We also assisted with construction by providing construction staking, construction management, and inspection services.
