Nason Creek Acclimation Facility

Project Summary

Client: Grant County Public Utility District
Location: Grant County, WA
Service Provided: Construction Management & Inspection

The Nason Creek Acclimation Facility allows for the acclimation and release of up to 275,000 spring Chinook smolts each year into the local river complex.

The project consisted of the construction of a new 13,000 square-foot fish acclimation building, a 3,200 square-foot maintenance building, and a 1,500 square-foot residence building for maintenance and operations staff.

The constructed facility components included a new electrical room and equipment, an emergency backup generator, a mechanical room, utilities (water and sewer), HVAC improvements, a shop bay area, and office space. A new in-water intake structure was also built, along with piping, a septic system, and a storm pond.

MacKay Sposito provided construction management and inspection for this project. We ensured compliance with the plans and specifications and also monitored numerous permits with multiple permitting agencies.
