Reed’s Crossing is a 464-acre fully planned, mixed-use community. MacKay Sposito worked with Newland, the City of Hillsboro, Washington County, and METRO to bring this property into the metro Urban Growth Boundary. For over 15 years, MacKay Sposito provided permitting and master planning services for this project.
In August 2016, Newland broke ground for this project and selected MacKay Sposito to provide onsite construction management and inspection beginning with the grading of 127 acres of the 464-acre development. The site included a large-scale stormwater system with massive storm water ponds, interconnecting pipe work, wet-weather access roads and BMP’s, and stormwater treatment systems. MacKay Sposito verified and documented the contractor’s daily activities, acted as Owner’s on-site representative, and served as the liaison for City of Hillsboro permit compliance. In addition, we monitored all erosion and sediment control BMP’s on the site and documented its performance measures per the 1200-C permit.
