  • Assessed the existing storm system
  • Calculated the hydrologic conditions (surface and sub-surface)
  • Determined the optimum design of the proposed drainage grid

Client: Washougal School District
Location: Washougal, WA
Service Provided: Civil Engineering

The Washougal School District contracted with MacKay Sposito to perform a drainage analysis of the existing baseball, softball, and soccer fields at Washougal High School. The existing drainage system was inadequate and the fields were not playable, or even firm enough to mow, during wet weather. The District operations staff had considered a number of alternative approaches to mitigate the field drainage issues and had implemented the installation of a grid of drainage lines in a localized area to test its effectiveness. District officials desired a verification of this approach and contracted with MacKay Sposito to assess the existing storm system, calculate the hydrologic conditions (surface and sub-surface), and determine the optimum design of the proposed drainage grid.
